Draft law proposes clinical-trial information in the ePA
A government-approved bill proposes new features for Germany’s electronic patient record, including information about potentially suitable clinical trials.
On 15 July 2026, Germany’s cabinet adopted the draft GeDIG health-data and digital-innovation law. Alongside trial information, it proposes full-text search and a digital vaccination overview for the electronic patient record (ePA).
The planned feature could offer another way to learn about clinical trials. The cabinet decision concerns a bill, not the launch of this service. The announcement gives no launch date for trial information.
