What is this trial about?
The NICITIA study compares the use of immunotherapy in combination with chemotherapy to chemotherapy alone following surgery for mesothelioma (pleural cancer).
Detailed description
In this study, patients who have previously undergone surgery for pleural cancer are treated with either standard chemotherapy or standard chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy. Assignment to one of the two treatment options is determined by randomization. The study primarily investigates whether the addition of immunotherapy can delay the recurrence of the disease.
